Internal Rumblings

Why is that I'm not born as somebody on the roadside or the young boy whom I see everyday on the road trying to make his two ends meet is not born as me? Why is so much of a socio-economic difference? I know I'm sounding like a philosopher, which I am not; but I really can't help thinking about these things. Why is that I don't have to beg for my living and the guy on the streets don't earn a fat pay-packet?
These things may come across very stupid at the face value; but are they really so stupid. I am seeking answers to these questions. Anu says that it is because of the error of birth; mistiming of the parents. That's quite an answer, I must say innovative answer on the lighter side. I am afraid to discuss this with my friends because I fear that I might come across utterly stupid. I am aware that I am afraid, afraid of being not accepted on these issues. These feelings are mine and I don't want to discuss them until I don't find someone who can answer these questions.

Mohit...wat makes U think that these thoughts R stupid? jst because ppl around us don't feel d same way...tat these ppl simply see thru oblivious of the old lady or the young kid with ribs stickin out and eyes filled with eternal sorrow...
come on Mohit...most of the people are selfish...& the higher one is in the pyramid, far away frm the bottom of the pyramid, the mre one tends to become selfish

U've said U R afraid to discuss these with Ur friends...Mohit, Ur friends & My friends R nice ppl...accepted...bt they R 2 mch focussed on oneself...their lives revolve around xl sheets & the triumphs & failures R judged by d proffessional life...these R d guys who have never worried about their nxt meal...so they cannot even begin to understand wat the plight of the people who form the bottom of the pyramid
so when U choose not to discuss these issues with your friend, it should not bcoz tat U R afraid to, but rather they are too ignorant of the life's realities to comprehend Ur thinking

so nw we've established tat these thinkings are not stupid...lets see why they R gud :)

a. it shows tat U care...U could have done so many other thins...
U also could have walked past these ppl worried about hw else U can acquire mr money & spend it to mak Urslf look big in society...U didn't
U could have given the beggars one look and then turn to Ur other rich friend & said, India will never imprve...U didn't
U could have give 50p to one of the little kid who comes up2 U in the signal & feel very gud & proud as if U have donated Ur entire wealth...U didn't
not only U jst cared....bt U have not forgotten it also...U puttin it on d blog shows d depth of it

b. Most of the Great Ppl have started with the same feeling... like wat U & I have been feeling...
why this diff? wat makes us worthier than the ppl in the street?
U should consider yourself lucky tat U R blessed with a mentality

c.These thinking will defnitly make you enjoy life better...without missing any nuances of it, as only in these unnoticed thins lie some of the greatest joys of life

Now, we've established tat the thinking is neither stupid but in fact are extremly gud...so the logical question is...wat next?

I told U all great thins start with this kind of thinking...it would be foolish to take this as a compliment for us...jst bcoz we think like tat does not imply tat we have done smthin gud

the difference b/w ppl like U&me and the Great ones is tat while U & me jst sit and think...they have gone out ther and done smthin about it...

Great ones do not mean only famous personalities...like Gandhiji or Mother Terasa...there R millions out there, in every nook and corner of this world who help out any1 who needs help

now, am not saying we have to bcome missionaries...we have our own responsibilites & constraints & not all can afford to leave everythin and start servicing the poor and that is neither required

but there are so many chotta chotta ways thru which we can contribute...
to begin with...always ensure tat U donate 10% of Ur earnings, & jst don't limit urself to givin a chequ to some famous NGO...the famous NGOs don't need our funds...
whoever said charity begins at home is absolutly right
look out Mohit...look near U...U can see people everywhr in misery...help them in the way U can...for eg, if U've a house, U can start with Ur servant maids, chck whthr his/her kid is gettin proper education...talk to d paperboy...stop bargainin heavily with the vegetable vendor or shoe polish kid...buy magazines frm the young fellow who runs dangerously thru signals tryin to sell a 10 rs bw...it means mre to him than to oddessy or crosswords
am not sayin U shuld nt stop goin to these shops...bt when nxt time U see sch ppl, jst contribute

& watver U do...for heavens sake...
never stop thinkin
keep on taxing Ur mind on how U can try to make a difference in this world
because 'they also serve who stands and wait'
so...when U R ready, the path will automatically unfold

till then my friend...don't stop
U R not alone...there are 100s of spirits like us,out there, who wants to help others...our time will come

till then...think, thank & enjoy life

Love
Dhivya

Let me be honest to you woman, I have nothing to fear or compete against but me. I am least bothered what others think because it hardly makes a difference to me. I guess a little more sensitivity on my part coupled with some action may come to my aid. But then there are times when I think why is that all men are not born equal? Why is that all men aren't born equal opportunities? I am looking for answers to these why's?

Cudn't stp myself 4m writing few lines on this subject.Let me make it clear in the beginning that what i write ,not necessarily
answers all your "Y's" but an attempt to that may throw some light on something that you are in search of.
Have asked this question to myself many times and arrived at a conclusion - *Had everyone born equal with equal opportunities,
the purpose of life would have been diluted.* I think that something that we call "Hope" would not have ever made an entry in our dictionaries and it's this "Hope" that keeps all humans moving to arrive at satisfaction.(Forget typical - Good/Better/ Best
theory). Again i asked - *Was it possible for us to identify "pain, sufferings, happiness, sorrow, sharing, caring, love, affection"if all men were born equal? "No" is the answer that i got.*
Think about a Success we get after repeated failures. It has a different high altogether.Had everything been similar, all these
things wouldn't have mattered to us, forget its existence. Secondly, we wouldn't have valued or cherished the true meaning of
happiness, joy and sorrow and other related emotions. Imagine, ppl that live on roadside with no home or shelter, when they
get to eat one proper meal, the amount of happiness they experience at that moment is inexplicable. It's certainly much more than what U or Me get in our day today lives. It is an indication that their "Hope" is not lost and they keep preparing
themselves for a new day with new determination.
I beleive it is a Continuous cycle which everyone has to go through. When i look at myself, i have to struggle day in and day out
to survive in this world to secure my future and it holds true for all ppl who are behind or ahead me.It may not be similar to the
one that you experienced for that boy on the roadside but it is there and it does happen with every single person at each strata
of the soceity.
So don't lose "Hope" for that boy on roadside for he is much more competent than you or me to take care of himself.
Remember, he is getting ready for another day!!

Cheers,
K

U are what you are....and where you are....thats because you are here.....on this earth for a purpose(how small or big). Why arent you in place of the people on the roads ????
Thats because either u have been one of them in your previous birth.....or maybe u will be one in your next birth(So says the Bhagwad Gita).
Are you going to laugh on this comment ???? Well if u find this comment funny......its not ur fault......its beacuse we have way become so cald too modern to see the way the things actually are.U might find this comment weird beacuse you are one of those people.......who dont believe in rebirths i guess.
So its quite justifiable if others think your perception of life to be stupid. They dont believe in what YOU think.Probably they dont even have answers to your questions.
You are sent on this earth for a purpose a "KARMA"........."KARMA"......as the Bhagwad Gita says "TREAT OTHERS LIKE U WANT TO BE TREATED".Thats what your whole life is about.HOW YOU CHOOSE TO LIVE YOUR LIFE IS ON YOU.
You havent found your answers as to why u feel the way u feel when u look at the roadside people and why you are not in their place.
YOU ARE HERE FOR A PURPOSE.
THE UNIVERSE HAS GIVEN YOU HINTS AS TO WHAT YOUR "PURPOSE" IN THIS BIRTH IS.WHAT UR "KARMA" IS(REMEMBER UR MOTHER MENTIONED ABT "KARMAYOGI")WHETHER U TAKE THE HINT OR NOT IS UPTO YOU.
YOU HAVE A PURPOSE....THE UNIVERSE HAS GIVEN YOU ENOUGH HINTS.WHEN U LOOK AT THOSE LESS PRIVILEDGED PEOPLE WHY DO U FEEL THE WAY U FEEL ?????HAVE U EVER ACTED ON THAT FEELING ?????HAVE U EVER DONE SOMETHING FOR THEM ???????
In Bhagwad gita its written "What you do comes back to you"....."What karma u do comes back to you"......Its further written in Bhagwan Gita that "If we are born as humans we will take another form in our next birth as humans or anything else".....It says this in short "Mohit could be one of those roadside boys in his next birth".
The "GITA".......says......WHAT WE ARE IN THIS BIRTH HAS A PURPOSE.WE ARE ALL HERE TO FULFILL THIS PURPOSE.MOST OF THE PEOPLE DONT REALIZE IT.But some people like you who.......get hints.....BUT REFUSE TO TAKE IT.
Let me give you an example:Your parents' are your parents' beacuse they've been chosen to Protect you and be your parents. One of their purpose or "karma" in this life is to be your parents and fulfill the job of a parent.
The Bhagwad Gita says that"Ur parents are your parents (and someone else is not ur parent).....beacuse thats one of their purpose in this life is.They are here to act out the role of being a parent for u.They are there to do something for for "the karma that parents do".IT CAN BE THAT IN THE NEXT BIRTH U are someone elder to them(im serious about this). So u see ?
So now when u look at those people on the roadside and start having those feelings.Dont just cross them and go.DO SOMETHING FOR THEM(WHAT ??? THAT IS FOR YOU TO DISCOVER)....."WHAT U HAVE TO DO IS "UR PURPOSE".DID U GET UR "PURPOSE" UR "KARMA" IN LIFE ??????DO I NEED TO SAY MORE MOHIT ?

Noor.
